Former Tasek Gelugor Member of Parliament Datuk Seri Mohd Shariff Omar yesterday quashed rumours that he was contemplating joining Parti Keadilan Rakyat.
"They are all baseless rumours. I am still with Umno and will continue to be an Umno member," said the Tasek Gelugor Umno chief after handing out cash gifts to 160 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia high-achievers from his division.
A vernacular newspaper had recently reported that Mohd Shariff was likely to resign from Umno to join PKR.
